1. Current cookie use
Streamwrld currently sets only cookies that are strictly necessary for account authentication. These cookies are activated when you request the account or login functionality and do not require consent under the rules applicable to necessary cookies. We do not currently set advertising, analytics or cross-site personalization cookies.
2. Essential authentication cookies
| Name | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| streamhub_access_token | Keeps an authenticated session secure. | About 1 hour |
| streamhub_refresh_token | Renews the session without repeatedly asking you to log in. | Up to 30 days |
These cookies are HTTP-only and cannot be read by page scripts. On the production HTTPS site they are also transmitted securely. Blocking them prevents account login but does not prevent browsing public streams.
3. Local browser storage
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| streamhub:following | Stores the creators followed on this device and can be synchronized after login. | Until you remove the list or clear browser data |
| streamhub:recently-viewed | Stores up to 20 recently viewed creator identifiers on this device. | Until cleared in Streamwrld or the browser |
| streamhub:following-live-state | Temporarily remembers live-status changes for followed creators during the browser session. | Until the browser session ends |
| streamwrld.spin.history.v1 | Stores the latest 20 Stream Spin results so they are not immediately selected again. | Until the browser session ends |
A legacy key named streamhub:favorites may be read once to migrate an older local follow list. Local browser storage stays on the device unless you choose to synchronize follows with an account. Streamwrld also records daily aggregate counts for spins, filter changes and Watch now clicks without setting an analytics cookie or retaining a visitor identifier.
4. Embedded third-party content
Twitch, Kick or YouTube players are not inserted until you choose to start a stream. When you click Play, your browser connects directly to that platform. The platform may then receive your IP address, browser information, referring page and interaction data, and may set or read its own cookies under its terms and privacy policy. Do not start an embedded player if you do not want that connection; you may instead open the originating platform directly.
5. Your controls and future changes
You can block or delete cookies and local storage through your browser. Blocking authentication cookies prevents login but does not prevent browsing public listings. If non-essential analytics, personalization or advertising storage is added, it will remain disabled until a valid consent choice is offered. The choice will be as easy to reject as to accept and consent will be withdrawable.
